Gone
are the days of the Nissan Sentra Sti, Langley Exa Turbo and the grandma’s
Pulsar back in the 90’s, they have a special place in many people’s lives. Over
several years now Nissan has been using the same design approach and original thinking
that produced the Qashqai, X-Trail and Sentra.
According
to Nissan it’s expanding its product portfolio once more with an exciting
all-new family hatchback the Pulsar, to challenge the likes of the Golf GTI,
Ford Focus, Astra Hatch and the BMW 1 series.
Nissan's
ongoing drive to deliver sector first technologies mean that the Pulsar is the
only car in its sector to offer Moving Object Detection, Lane Departure Warning
and Blind Spot Warning as standard on at least one model in the range.
This
advanced network of usable yet highly advanced technologies help drivers to
fully enjoy the potential of the new Pulsar with complete confidence. Among the
systems offered in the new Pulsar are Forward Emergency Braking, Moving Object
Detection, Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Warning.
With
the introduction of the Pulsar, it comes with the Nismo concept that will see
the brand come into the C-Segment, coming to compete with the likes of the Golf
7R a very competitive segment.
The
Pulsar NISMO Concept filters the essence of the brand into every panel, trim
and styling element, setting itself apart from its standard grades. The
Concept's paintwork is finished in satin grey and surrounding the body is the
NISMO's trademark Layered Double-Wing accentuated in red. Its unique shape is
designed by airflow analysis, and it improves aerodynamics performance even
better as well as giving lower gravity appeal to the NISMO cars.
The dramatic front bumper features larger, optimised air intakes and striking brake cooling vents. Deeper side skirts, a lower ride height and 19-inch five arm alloy wheels with 235/35 R19 tyres emphasise the muscular form of the Pulsar's design, while the diffuser-style rear bumper and the central twin exhaust pipes, further reinforce the Concept's motorsport feel. Other elements include; a unique carbon fibre rear spoiler, side skirts and flared wheel arches. As opposed to the conventional white lamp reversing lamp, the Pulsar NISMO Concept's light hosts a clear, dark finish.

Nissan
with this car not only brings about innovation and beautiful lines in, it also
introduces a new standard in cabin space,
thanks to the
longest wheelbase in the class (2,700mm) and clever packaging, the Pulsar
offers considerably more rear legroom and shoulder room than its sector rivals.
Indeed, with 692mm of rear legroom, the Pulsar is more spacious than many
D-segment offerings.
Yet despite this it retains a compact footprint (length 4,385mm), making it easy to park in tight urban environments.
